2. German-Japanese Economic Forum, 2007
Hannover
Germany and Japan as innovation partners
As highly industrialised nations with few natural resources of their own, both Japan and Germany are dependent on their innovative strength to survive in global competition. The focus of this year's German-Japanese Economic Forum at the Hanover Fair with its high-ranking participants is therefore on successful German-Japanese cooperation in highly innovative sectors such as automotive (Bosch/Denso) and nanotechnology (Ebara/capsulution).
Speakers include BDI President Thumann, the Executive Vice President of the Japanese national foreign trade organisation JETRO and the Vice President of Toyota Europe. At the subsequent reception hosted by the State of Lower Saxony, there will be an opportunity for personal discussions with the German and Japanese speakers.
The German-Japanese Economic Forum at Hannover Messe 2007 is organized by JETRO, Deutsche Messe and the Federation of German Industries (BDI) in cooperation with ECOS Consult and supported by the German Federal Ministry of Economics, the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade & Industry (METI), the State of Lower Saxony, the German-Japanese Business Association (DJW) and the German Chamber of Commerce in Japan.
