Putting Industry 4.0 into Practice

Hochkarätiger Austausch: Das Deutsch-Japanische Wirtschaftsforum

2006 gegründet, ist das Deutsch-Japanische Wirtschaftsforum heute eine wichtige Plattform für den bilateralen Austausch. Hier treffen sich während der Hannover Messe hochkarätige Vertreter von Unternehmen und Institutionen beider Länder. Veranstaltet wird das Forum von ECOS Consult mit der Deutschen Messe und der Deutschen Industrie und Handelskammer in Japan.

Unternehmensvorträge, Gespräche und eine Podiumsdiskussion standen unter dem Titel „Industrie 4.0 im Praxistest – Herausforderungen für Standardisierung, Datensicherheit und Arbeitswelt“ im Fokus des Wirtschaftsforums. Vor 400 Fachbesuchern erläuterten die Experten beider Länder im April 2016, dass die Digitalisierung und die globale Vernetzung der Produktion in beiden Ländern deutlich zugenommen haben. Die Referenten verdeutlichten, dass Fragen zu gemeinsamen Standards und zur Datensicherheit nur grenzüberschreitend und partnerschaftlich gelöst werden können. Hierbei spielt auch die Frage eine Rolle, wie die japanische Philosophie des „Kaizen“ – übersetzt bedeutet das etwa „Veränderung zum Besseren“ – mit der deutschen Idee des „Internet of Things“ zusammengeführt werden kann. Bei der Podiumsdiskussion wurde erörtert, dass „Industrie 4.0“ nicht bedeutet, dass der Mensch überflüssig wird. Es bedarf vielmehr eines „Homo Digitalis“, eines Dirigenten des zunehmend autonomen Produktionsprozesses. Seine Aufgabe ist es dazu beizutragen, dass Mensch und Maschine stimmig zusammenarbeiten.

For high-tech manufacturing nations like Germany and Japan, “Industry 4.0” has become an issue of future-defining importance. It brings new challenges, opportunities and business potentials in nearly all industrial sectors.

The German-Japanese Economic Forum highlights “Industry 4.0” also this year. Under the patronage of the German Ministry of Economy, the forum will celebrate its 10th anniversary on 27th April 2016 at Hannover Messe in the Global Business & Markets forum in hall 3. The forum is organized by Deutsche Messe in cooperation with ECOS Consult and the German Commercial and Industrial Chamber in Japan.

State Secretary Uwe Beckmeyer (BMWi) will open the forum with a keynote. Informative contributions on practical implementation of “Industry 4.0”, data security and effects on the working environment are expected by Siemens, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Mitsubishi Electric, Ernst&Young and others.

After the panel discussion at the end of the forum all participants have the possibility for personal talks at a reception.

Visitors can also apply for a guided tour organized by Deutsche Messe prior to the forum.
